We belong to the South Manchester and Cheshire Missional Partnership. A team of
ministers, together with the Elders, oversee the running of the church.
Our services are led by visiting ministers, lay preachers and qualified members of our
Major decisions are the responsibility of our Church Meeting. Anyone who worships regularly with us is invited to attend, although only members may vote. Our Church Meetings are held bi-monthly, after the Sunday morning service.
We have a number of Church Officers, including Church Secretary, Church Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Gift aid Co-coordinator, Chair of Property & Finance Committee and One Step Closer Club Leader. All are appointed to the position annually.
The leadership of our church is exercised by a team of Elders who are elected annually by the Church Meeting. An Elder’s term of office is three years. At the end of the three-year period, a retiring Elder may stand for re-election yearly. At the end of the three-year period, a retiring Elder may stand for re-election for another year. At the end of that year they may also stand for election for a further year. After five years’ service, an Elder is not eligible for reappointment for a period of twelve months.
Our Church provides pastoral support through a network of Pastoral Group Leaders. We seek to meet the needs of members and others closely associated with the church in ways appropriate to their individual circumstances.
